1. WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION DOES J.MCLAUGHLIN COLLECT?
General Browsing and Tracking Mechanisms:
We gather navigational information about where visitors go on the Site and information about the technical efficiencies of the Site (i.e., time to connect to our Site, time to download pages, etc.). This information is referred to in this Privacy Policy as ” Navigational Information ” and allows us to see which areas of the Site are most visited and helps us better understand our visitors’ experiences at the Site. In the process of gathering Navigational Information, non-personally identifiable information (for example, domain type, browser version, service provider) may also be collected to further assist us in understanding how visitors interact with our Site.
We collect Navigational Information from technology such as cookies and web beacons. Cookies are small text files that help us to personalize the content of the Site. Web beacons are electronic files used to track your navigation on a website or collection of sites, the completion of transactions, submittal of applications and browsing behavior. We use cookies and other tracking technology to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand and save your preferences for future visits, keep track of advertisements, and compile aggregate data about the Site’s traffic and interaction so that we can offer better experiences and tools in the future.
We use both first and third-party session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies make it easier for you to navigate our Site and expire when you close or leave the Site. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our visitors across devices and other websites, apps and digital properties to personalize their experience on our Site, and remain on your device for an extended period or until you delete them.
If you do not want us to place a cookie on your device, you may be able to turn that feature off on your device. Please consult your browser’s documentation for information on how to do this and how to delete persistent cookies. You may be able to manage cookies placed on our site by using our Cookie Management Tool. However, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, certain aspects of the Site may not function properly or as intended.
We use one or more third-party analytics services to evaluate your use of the Site, as the case may be, by compiling reports on activity (based on their collection of IP addresses, Internet service provider, browser type, operating system and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, data and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Site you visit, number of links clicked, search terms and other similar usage data) and analyzing performance metrics. These third parties use cookies and other technologies to help collect, analyze, and provide us reports or other data.
By accessing and using the Site, you consent to the processing of data about you by these analytics providers in the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. For more information on these third parties, including how to opt out from certain data collection, please visit the sites below. Please be advised that if you opt out, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Site.
To personalize our advertisements and otherwise understand how you engage with our advertisements, we may share or receive information about you with/from third parties, including, but not limited to, advertising and remarketing providers. These third parties may use cookies, pixel tags, or other technologies to track your activity on our Site and other sites, apps and digital properties and collect information in furtherance of such purposes, including to tailor, target (i.e., behavioral, contextual, retargeting, and remarketing), analyze, report on, and/or manage advertising campaigns or other initiatives. For example, when a browser visits another site, pixel tags enable us and these third parties to recognize certain cookies stored within the browser to learn which ads or other content bring a user to a given site. Information that we may receive from these third parties, including through their service providers, may include advertising identifiers, IP addresses, reports, and campaign data.
By accessing and using the Site, you consent to the processing of data about you by these advertisers/remarketing providers in the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You may opt-out of the use of your information this purpose. To learn more or to choose to opt-out, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative at http://www.networkadvertising.org/. If you delete your cookies, use a different browser, or buy a new computer, you will need to renew your opt-out choice. Additionally, for more information on these third parties, including how to opt out from certain data collection, please visit the sites below. Please note that this list may be subject to change based on the campaigns that we run.
